There must be members who worked at this planr near Crown Cork.
With the huge push for EVs it would have been in a great place to take advantage.
Did it go out of business or move to another UK location

Yes they definitely made electric milk carts- so much of the technology would have been similar for EVs.
Incidentally Cromptons were part of Hawker Siddeley a huge company- They got out at just the wrong time

Yes darole you are correct I also remember seeing something on the television it could have been on the local news not sure

My husbands farther and brother worked there around 1972 onwards

Evening Milkman, there was a factory making those vehicles, it was called Crompton's Electrics, it didn't long in Tredegar, probably about twenty years. It closed in the 1980s.. there are houses now on the site in Crown Ave.
