Many thanks to Titch for sending in this Christmas card from 1961.
Titch added, "one it's a Christmas Card the Rakes who lived in Church St sent us at Christmas 1961. He was an Auctioneer and a regular member of the Con Club."
Any names anybody please 
Question for everyone. Did many family's at the time send this type of family photo as a Christmas card ?

Hi Krrake I also got a Christmas card of your family it’s from 1959 I gave a copy to Diane a couple of years ago.( Diane is Ron Rakes daughter) I have quite a few photos of them taken when they lived in Church Street.. |

Hi Shelly, they must look very alike, I probably knew both of them, long long time ago!
It was nice meeting you in the shop last time I was in Tredegar, good to put a face to the 'Handle'

Hi Titch the man is Steve Powell.your thinking of his son Brian Powell,who's nickname was Tudge.they lived behind Rakes shop in Church St.My brother Brian is keeping well he's looking forward to a busy Christmas thanks for asking Titch hope everything is good with you.

Shelly what is the name of the chap 2nd from the left at the back, was it Tudge? I think he lived in the street at the back of the Globe?

There are six of the Rakes daughters on this photo Doreen, Peggy,Mary, Doss,Bonnie and Ethel.sons in law Dave,Steve Powell.Len Phillips.Fern Williams.I think there where a few more Children than that though. |

I know them all on this photo the Rakes were neighbours of mine when I lived in Church St.I'v got the card they sent for Christmas 1959. |
