Thank you Butch for clarifying that for me. What a shame the Territorial Army Mess was demolished. I have some lovely memories of it. |

Spencer Crookshank managed the TA. I heard recently that his daughter married David Morgan who worked for RTB then became chairman of Glamorgan CC then chairman of the MCC then the ICB.

Jules Drup, welcome to the forum. This picture is of the cellar of the Tredegar Arms pub. near the town clock, that is undergoing refurbishment The T.A. you are thinking of, is of the Territorial Army building in Park Place, which has long been demolished |

If this is the TA Mess that was near St. James' hospital then my dad, John Davies with the help of my mum Anita and Nana Edith used to run it at the end of the 1950's to about 1961. |

I only just noticed this pic - I understand that the cellars under the T.A. are vast, extending the whole length of the building.
I remember Spencer Cruickshank telling me he wanted to refurbish the cellars and run a disco there but the brewery owners were not interested. |
