Hi Pierre, the Gas Showrooms moved into the shopping precinct around 1968/9 the Electricity showrooms around the same time. The Gas s/room was next door to the post office, and the electric s/room was where the dentist is now. Those two major concerns were a bitter blow to Tredegar, as they both closed around the same time. |

Great pic. Alan Morgan's Corner Cafe, Archie Sutton's Newsagents & fruit & veg, Crosswoods dairy produce and delicious cakes.Cambrian Pub.
To the right of our magnificent Clock, is the Gas Showrooms, the upstairs was the National Insurance Offices. Yes, Tredegar really was a great Town, once. Thankfully it's still a beautiful area to live. |
