Posted - 03/03/2021 : 10:50:35 I have the feeling that this is probably the 2nd XV. My reasoning is that some top players are missing- Roland Morgan, Izzy Wright, Bob Seyes, Dennis Evans, Howard evans (but he may be in back). Also Alan Prosser was a scrum half but Howard Evans was still at school. Still a very interesting pic; great to see them from almost 70 years ago. It has been mentioned elsewhere but Alan Prosser served in the SAS and later was sometimes at 10 Downing St briefing on Intelligence matters. Dennis was secretary of the WRU for a few years. Great that Tred boys can achieve in this manner. |

Posted - 10/02/2021 : 20:18:28 I think the boy back row- far right is David Thomas who became No2 at the Science Museum South Ken. The opp end I think is John Davies. I think he lived at top of Elmwood. Does that ring any bells |

Posted - 09/02/2021 : 22:55:09 I think on the photo from the 1940's, the boy on the far right on the top row was my father John Davies. |

Posted - 26/02/2018 : 20:37:15 Exbrompton , I think the teacher next to Long Tom might be Silas ( Spider ) Jones who taught French , Welsh and Latin in Tredegar G S before leaving to teach in Carmarthenshire. You mention Walter Tidswell as a fast bowler ,he also moved to West Wales and was head of Milford Haven School until his retirement when he went to live in Shropshire - to Shifnal I think. |

Posted - 26/02/2018 : 10:25:33 The top pic was almost certainly taken by Big Ben (Harold Edwards). He was senior maths teacher. Taken about 1945 |
