I am quite deaf and have difficulty using the telephone - as a result of which I am reluctant use it - inevitably it ends up with me not understanding and ending up quarreling with somebody !

I live alone and can cook quite well but occasionally I would enjoy a takeway. Now my hearing inability stops me making phone orders for a takeaway so I have to go without.

Also with the lockdown, it would be silly to go wandering out at my age (77)

However there is a beam of shining light - there is an Indian takeaway which operates an online ordering system and last night I was able to order a decent takeaway - paid online by credit card - and delivered to me.

This is the takeaway in Castle Street which I believe is now under new ownership.
