don't know if many or if any of you have heard this track (i say track it was only a few lines repeated over and over). whilst working on a film on people in and around london in 1971, they recorded interactions with people going about their lives daily. going through the raw material he came across a homeless man sitting down singing (nothing was known about this man, name, age or where he was from). he put some music to it and this is the result. i hope you find this beautiful, moving and ultimately sad that possibly all that remains of this man are a few lines he sung that by chance were caught on tape. there are a few versions with various lengths if you search on youtube including a version by tom waits (4 minutes). this particular one is 22 minutes and the orchestra kicks in at 4 minute mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfT3njX2FLU&t=701s
