Community groups in both Abergavenny and Ebbw Vale are running an initiative where parents can bring outgrown school uniforms to specific locations where they can be reused. These are provided free of charge and the information is circulated far and wide for residents to access. I understand that some of our charity shops are helping out and selling uniforms for a very reasonable cost, but with many of our residents who struggle with cost at this time getting free school uniforms must be a godsend.
Now if I can pick this up on social media, why isnít our council able to do this. There are so many good ideas out there that can be used, all it takes is a quick scan on our computers.
I know that some of our councillors work hard for our community, but bearing in mind we as Tredegar residents pay extra on our rates for our Town Council why are they not utilising social media to look for ideas that can benefit our town.
