Gosh, I knew it well. I did not need to read the number since I knew it so well. It actually replaced a Dennis engine which had solid rubber tyres, (Slightly wrong in that both engines were kept for several years). It served right through WWII and possibly went to large cities during the blitz, I know that Tredegar brigade went to Bristol but cannot recall which engine. A lovely old engine, I have seen it at severral fairs and the like
Wouldn't it be wonderful if it could come back home to Tredegar. Maybe Tredegar Town Council could look into its possibility. What a great historical piece of machinery. Milkman, I can see you drooling at such a prospect!!
