TredFest 2022 - Saturday 30th April - 4pm - Tickets £20 -------------------------------------------------------- This April, TredFest finally returns to Venue 1(Kidz R Us) to belatedly celebrate our 10th birthday. We have been warning you that this year's line up was going to huge and as you can see we weren't lying! Get your tickets for this epic day of non-stop live music from some of the most exciting new bands from across the UK today at www.tredfest.co.uk/tickets
MAIN STAGE ------------------------ Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs - Yes, we have really got Pigsx7 headlining! Strap yourself in for some pulverising, Sabbath-esque doom, it's going to be massive! Following the release of their critically acclaimed 3rd album, "Viscerals", in 2020 and a sold-out UK tour at the end of 2021, Pigsx7 will be playing some of the biggest festivals in Europe in 2022. Obviously none will be bigger than TredFest...
Saint Agnes - If they're here, you may as well flipping be here! The East London based horror punk, trash-metal band will be bringing their unpredictable live show to TredFest. Saint Agnes take you by the hand and keep you captive in their comic-book world of gods and villains; badlands and bad loves. You may have already seen them on the Main Stage at Download Pilot last year.
wych elm - Expect a touch of the macabre from the Bristol based grungy indie rock band. The bandís obsession with dark, haunting tales works its way into every facet of their music, with howled vocals telling the stories of a murderous mother and issues around their own mental health sitting above ear shredding guitars, rumbling bass and rattling drums. wych elm will be playing their biggest show to date, supporting IDLES at Brixton Academy at the end of January.
Panic Shack - Armed with brash, witty lyrics and killer hooks, Panic Shack crashed through the UK music scene with a tidal wave of ear-crunching noise. Immediately building up a reputation for their raw, unapologetic live shows and off-kilter songs, Panic Shack prove that DIY does it better. Since their inception itís been non-stop for this Welsh punk quintet. Having already played prestigious stages at Green Man Festival, Cardiff Castle, and 2000 Trees Panic Shack are only going to continue to create earth-shattering music.
CLT DRP - Hot on the heels of support dates with Svalbard and their headline UK tour, Brighton-based feminist electropunk trio CLT DRP will be a sonic experience the like of which we have never experienced at TredFest. The band released their debut album Without The Eyes in 2020 to a surge of press and radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 music, and Radio X, leading to early support slots with JOHN and Saint Agnes.
+ We also have the winners of TredFest: The Future is Now to add in to the mix.
SECOND STAGE --------------------------- John MOuse - John MOuse, not John Maus or the reggae John Mouse, is a left of centre artist from Cardiff. 28 musicians, both live and in the studio, have worked with John Mouse, reflecting the forever changing sounds and styles, and progressive nature of each John MOuse live show and release. Its been 7 years since was last meant to play at TredFest and, just like the Mounties, we always get our man and we can't for John to close the Second Stage.
Pigeon Wigs - Pigeon Wigs are a 6-piece Rock & Roll band newly sprung from Cardiff's fertile soil. Their music ranges from the bombastic and unrelenting to the sombre and fragile, indulging whatever genre suits their aims.
TELGATE - Fiery Aggro-Glam band from South Wales with a duty to start riots in 6" platform boots. Sounds like a punch in the face followed by a kiss on the cheek.
Eye - Eye is the new musical venture from Jessica Ball (Mammoth Weed Wizard b******). Gothic electro-doom with ethereal vocals, over guitar soundscapes.
Clwb Fuzz - These are the new kids on the flourishing Cardiff scene. Their latest single GOD (Let You Lose) came out at the end of last year and picked up support from Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 6 Music) and NME who added the single to their New Bangers playlist.
A massive thank you to our supporters The National Lottery Community Fund Wales, Pen Bryn Oer Wind Farm, Tredegar Town Council, and hopefully a couple more.
