Hi my memories extend to my childhood when the Little Theatre was my Grandfathers public house 'The Freemason's Vaults'. I have many memories and remember vividly the 'outside toilets'. I remember also having our family Sunday lunch in the front room. It has been said that at the age of about three I was found lying underneath a cask of Rhymney Bitter catching the drips in my open mouth. I have not lost the taste for 'real ale'! The Pub stopped operating as a pub in the very early 50's or even the late forties, although my Uncle and Aunt lived in it for a few years after my Grandfather died. All being well I am hoping to find out more about the history of the pub next time I'm home.
